    Lloyd park picnic
On the 8th of July, the Woodside and Thornton Heath swimming club had a fantastic picnic at Lloyds park. As it was scorching hot the WTHSC provided us with two large gazebos which saved the day! To keep us all entertained multiple games were put out for us to play including cricket, badminton, football, Jenga and many more. There was plenty of drinks and food to keep us going throughout the day. Amazingly they kept the ice frozen for 6 hours! That meant that we had cold drinks the whole time that we were there. To top it all, we had warm slices of pizza which was delicious. An especially made 2018 WTHSC summer cake in the shape of a swimming pool which had diving blocks, lanes, swimmers and a ladder! It was also delicious too! To finish it off we played rounders with everybody which was really fun. Thank you so much to Suzanna, Jane, their families and everybody else who helped to make the picnic a memorable one.
